Meet Donna Rossi, Principal & Founder

People are an inspiration to me.  I absolutely love cultivating new relationships with Professionals across the World through dynamic communication, collaboration, thinking outside the box and creating synergy between ideas, stories and personalities.  What could be better than talking to extraordinary people and leading them to achieve new career goals that shape our diverse Client organizations and World?

For almost two decades, I have provided boutique executive search consulting services; addressing organizations’ strategic initiatives for the Real Estate Development, Construction, and Management industry. My clients have always ranged from small/mid-size development and management companies to the country’s largest owners and operators of real estate.  I learned quickly the meaning and extreme importance of upholding candidate/client confidentiality.  This principle led me to co-found and become Managing Director of Trovato Group, LLC, supervising the executive search assignments and operations for a staff of ten Executive Search Directors across the United States. After five years with Trovato Group, LLC and the 2008 lull in the real estate market, I decided to part ways and opened a small restaurant. I soon realized that although I love cooking, the restaurant business wasn’t for me and returned my focus to real estate executive recruiting, which is how Consult Crescendo, LLC was born in late 2009.

Like all people, I’m a product of my upbringing and experiences. I grew up in a large Italian family in Oak Park, Illinois. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Dance from Illinois State University in Normal, IL  I married, had a son and a daughter, divorced and realized I needed to support my family.  I began my career in Sales selling computer technology and wide area networks with Xerox. After 10 years in sales, I decided to take my people skills into recruiting and start-up my own business.

All of these experiences have made me both a perfectionist and a realist. I’ve come to see that people need to continually ask questions and make mistakes to learn. Make a plan, work it, and realize that the best-laid plan-no matter what happens-will result in good things at the perfect time. I am a triathlete and gardener of organic food; health-conscious, exercise daily through long distance running, swimming, biking, yoga and completed the Wisconsin Ironman in 2013.  My son is a High-Rise Multi-Family Structural Engineer, served 6 years in the U.S. Peace Corps in Africa and China and became fluent in 10 languages.  My daughter is a Nutritionist, graffiti artist, and rock musician. As for me, I am single and here to serve my family and community. Life is good.

I’ve guided my life based on Stephen Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. The sense to seek first to understand, then to be understood has been the catalyst to building solid long-term relationships.  This progressive increase in understanding people has been a musical experience of converging dreams and talents, and an honest, straightforward approach to doing business is what makes Consult Crescendo, LLC unique. Life is all about listening to people tell you what they want to achieve.
